• On and around water there is nothing more important than safety. We recommend that you wear your life jacket at all times. Children 14 and under are required by law to wear them. Always stay in a group. Never leave anyone behind and never go off on your own. If you have any questions at all, please ask a member of our staff. All participants should know and understand these rules.

    Canoe & Kayak Safety Rules

    Cedar Creek Park, LLC. will make every effort to provide you with a safe and enjoyable canoeing or kayaking experience but you must assume responsibility for your own safety. We count on you to help make this a fun and enjoyable trip without any incidents.

             - ALL PROPERTY ALONG THE RIVER IS PRIVATE PROPERTY. STOPPING ALONG THE RIVER BANK FOR ANY REASON IS NOT PERMITTED. VIOLATORS MAY BE PROCESCUTED FOR TRASPASSING AND MAY BE CHARGED FOR ANY LOSSES TO THE PARK. PLEASE DO NOT TRESPASS.

             - The creek is a natural resource and flow may vary from season to season. Absolutely no refunds.

             - All participants must be in good physical condition and should be able to swim.

             - Life preservers are provided in our boats. Each participant should have an appropriate sized life preserver.

             - Children must be at least 7 years of age (over 60 pounds), should be able to swim, & be properly fitted with a life preserver to go on the river.

             - Children age 14 and under must wear a life preserver at all times while on the river.  (GA state law)

             - All participants should wear shoes with straps to protect against sharp rocks and other objects.

             - Any person under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be permitted to rent a canoe or kayak.

             - No alcohol permitted on trips. Coolers are subject to inspection. (Strictly enforced)

             - Parental consent is needed for anyone under 18 years of age.

             - All participants must sign a liability release form.

             - Glass containers are not allowed.

             - All trash must be bagged and brought back to park. This helps to preserve the beauty of the creek. Please do not pollute.

             - All boats are to be returned a half an hour before store closing.

             - All participants are responsible for the equipment rented from Cedar Creek Park.  Any damages or loss of rented equipment will be charged back to the participant.

             - No pets allowed on shuttle vans
